God’s message of hope…

You’re invited!

Did you know that Jesus has invited us ALL to go to Heaven? Yet still, many won’t go. Why? Because to get there, you have to accept His invitation. Jesus is inviting you to be saved from all of your wrongdoing (sin) — past, present and future — for free, as a gift. But, just like a gift, someone can hold it out to you, but it’s not yours until you take it. So how can you accept Jesus’ invitation, His free gift of eternity in Heaven and salvation from sin?

Understand your need for salvation.

We have all sinned by violating God’s perfect law. And because God is holy and righteous, He cannot endure the presence of sin.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” ~ Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” ~ Romans 6:23

Understand that you can’t save yourself.

Even one sin is enough to make God unable to be near you because of His perfect nature. Sin leaves an indelible mark that only Jesus can erase. There’s no way you can make yourself righteous enough to be with Him or pay the price for your sin yourself.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” ~ Ephesians 2:8-9

“All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.” ~ Isaiah 64:6

Understand that Jesus already took care of it.

In spite of our sin, God wants so much for us to experience eternity with Him in Heaven that He sent His perfect son Jesus to die in our place, erasing the sin debt of all who accept His payment on their behalf.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” ~ John 3:16

Trust Christ alone as your Savior.

Salvation is not based on any “work” that you do, such as getting baptized (although that’s an important next step after being saved), being a church member (which is also an important part of your walk with the Lord), or being a “good person.” It’s solely based on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” ~ Romans 9:16

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” ~ Romans 3:20

Confess that you believe.

Everlasting life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. You can start by praying to tell God that you believe and accept His gift.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” ~ Romans 10:13

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” ~ Romans 10:9

Don’t wait!

All that is good in the world comes from God and His presence among us. None of us can fathom how horrifically dark and bleak things will be when His presence is withdrawn and there is only evil and torment left.

Life with the enemy, the evil one known as Satan, and his demons, in the complete absence of God and His goodness, is what is referred to as Hell, and it truly will be that.

After the huge sacrifice God made to make a way for us to be with Him in spite of our failures and wrong choices, we will have no excuse and no recourse.

Please don’t risk spending all of eternity separated from God. Accept Jesus’ invitation now, while you still can, because one day, He will return and judge the world in righteousness and will remove all sin and all causes of sin from this world.
